Ferrari 308 GTS (1977 - 1985)

The Ferrari 308 GTS became one of the most recognisable Ferraris of the 1970s and 1980s thanks to its Pininfarina shape, removable roof panel and mid-mounted V8 layout. It helped define the smaller V8 Ferrari line that would eventually lead to cars such as the 328, 348 and F355.

Its popularity was boosted by television exposure, but the car’s importance goes deeper than fame. The 308 made the mid-engined Ferrari experience more attainable than the twelve-cylinder flagships, establishing a template for compact, stylish and involving V8 Ferraris.
