Ford BA Falcon XR6 (2002 - 2005)

The BA Falcon was a major turning point for Ford Australia after the controversial AU. The XR6 gave the refreshed Falcon a sharper face, better interior and a stronger performance identity, especially as the turbocharged Barra-powered XR6 Turbo began building a huge enthusiast following.

Even in naturally aspirated form, the BA XR6 captured the local six-cylinder sports-sedan formula: practical, rear-wheel drive and distinctly Australian. Its importance has grown because the Barra engine family became one of the great modern local powerplants, loved for strength and tuning potential.
