Holden Commodore VC (1980)

The VC Commodore was the first major update of Holden’s original Commodore, bringing cleaner front styling and mechanical refinements after the VB launch. It continued Holden’s difficult transition from the larger Kingswood to a more compact Opel-derived sedan.

The VC’s place in history is tied to that adjustment period. It was not the loudest Commodore, but it helped establish the nameplate during its early years and showed Holden learning how to Australianise a European platform for local roads, families and fleets.
