Honda VFR 800 Interceptor (2002 - 2013)

The 2002-on Honda VFR800 Interceptor carried forward one of Honda’s most respected sporting-touring bloodlines. The VFR name had long been associated with V4 smoothness, real-world speed and engineering refinement, and the sixth-generation VFR800 updated the formula with sharper styling, underseat exhausts and optional touring equipment.

Its most discussed feature was Honda’s motorcycle VTEC system, which operated fewer valves at lower revs and brought the full four-valve-per-cylinder arrangement into play higher in the range. The system divided opinion, especially in early form, but it made the VFR800 one of the more technically distinctive sport-tourers of its era.
