Lamborghini Miura (1966 - 1973)

The Miura is widely regarded as the car that defined the modern supercar. By placing a V12 engine behind the seats in a low, sensual body, Lamborghini created a new template for exotic performance cars and challenged Ferrari’s front-engined tradition.

Its Bertone styling, associated with Marcello Gandini, remains one of the most influential shapes in automotive history. The Miura was fast, beautiful and slightly wild, and that mixture established Lamborghini’s identity as the more flamboyant alternative in Italian performance.
