Mazda Savanna RX-7 (1985 - 1992)

The FC RX-7 moved Mazda’s rotary sports car into a more mature 1980s shape, with styling influenced by contemporary Porsche proportions and a chassis aimed at improved stability and refinement. Turbocharged versions added the performance expected from Mazda’s rotary flagship.

It represents the middle chapter of the RX-7 story: less raw than the FB and less sculptural than the FD, but highly important in developing the rotary coupe into a serious grand-touring sports car with a strong enthusiast following.
