Tesla Model S (2014 - 2025)

The Model S proved that an electric car could be desirable, fast and practical at the luxury end of the market. Its skateboard battery layout, minimalist cabin and over-the-air software updates changed expectations for what a modern car could be.

Its significance reaches beyond Tesla. The Model S pressured established luxury manufacturers to take electric vehicles seriously and showed that acceleration, range and technology could sell EVs on performance and convenience rather than environmental appeal alone.
