Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat (2015)

The Challenger Hellcat turned the modern muscle-car revival into a horsepower arms race. By fitting a supercharged Hemi V8 into a retro-styled coupe, Dodge created a car that felt deliberately excessive, loud and unapologetically old-school in spirit.

Its significance is partly cultural. At a time when many performance cars were becoming smaller, turbocharged or electrified, the Hellcat celebrated brute force and drag-strip theatre. It became one of the defining American performance cars of the 2010s because it leaned fully into the myth of the muscle car.
