Ferrari Testarossa (1984 - 1991)

The Testarossa is one of the defining supercars of the 1980s. Its wide body, side strakes and flat-12 engine created a visual and mechanical identity that was instantly recognisable, especially as the car became tied to the era’s fashion, music videos and television imagery.

Behind the drama was a practical grand-touring purpose. Ferrari designed the Testarossa to manage heat better than the earlier Berlinetta Boxer, moving radiators to the sides and making the car far wider. The result was both functional and theatrical, which is why the shape still feels inseparable from its decade.
