Ford XB Falcon GT (1973 - 1976)

The XB Falcon GT arrived as Australian muscle cars were entering a more complicated era after the supercar scare. It retained bold styling, a V8 engine and strong road presence, but the market was shifting away from the unrestrained homologation specials of the early 1970s.

Its fame also extends through Australian film culture, particularly the Falcon hardtop’s association with Mad Max. The XB’s long bonnet, aggressive nose and coupe silhouette made it one of the most visually memorable Fords built in Australia.
