Holden Commodore VH (1981 - 1984)

The VH Commodore refined Holden’s early European-sized Commodore formula with cleaner styling, improved trim and a wider model spread. It arrived while Holden was still adapting its big-car identity to a smaller, more efficient platform after the Kingswood era.

The VH is remembered strongly because of its motorsport connection, particularly the Group C racing cars and Peter Brock’s HDT versions. That competition history gives even the mainstream VH a connection to one of the most colourful periods in Australian touring-car racing.
