Honda NSX (1990 - 2006)

The NSX changed expectations for exotic cars. Developed with input from Ayrton Senna and built around an aluminium structure, it offered mid-engined balance, high-revving V6 performance and everyday usability in a way many European supercars of the period did not.

Its historical importance comes from forcing the established supercar makers to improve quality, ergonomics and reliability. The NSX showed that a car could be technically advanced and thrilling without being temperamental, and it remains one of Honda’s greatest engineering statements.
