Shelby Cobra (1962 - 1967)

The Shelby Cobra joined a lightweight British AC chassis with American Ford V8 power, creating one of the most direct performance cars of the 1960s. Carroll Shelby’s idea was simple, but the result was brutally effective on road and track.

Its importance comes from that transatlantic mix of lightness and muscle. The Cobra became a racing success, a design icon and one of the most replicated cars in the world because its proportions and performance formula are so instantly understood.
