Toyota 2000GT (1967 - 1970)

The Toyota 2000GT was Japan’s first true international exotic sports car. Developed with Yamaha involvement, it combined a twin-cam straight-six, elegant fastback styling and meticulous construction at a time when Japanese cars were not yet widely associated with prestige performance.

Its importance is symbolic as well as mechanical. The 2000GT announced that Japan could build a world-class grand tourer, and its rarity, beauty and Bond-film association have made it one of the most valuable and historically significant Japanese cars.
