Vespa 125 (1958 - 1960)

The Vespa 125 belongs to the post-war scooter movement that changed personal mobility across Europe. Piaggio’s Vespa design, first introduced in 1946, offered a clean, enclosed, easy-to-ride alternative to conventional motorcycles, with pressed-steel construction and a step-through layout that helped make two-wheeled transport accessible to a broader audience.

By the late 1950s, the Vespa had become far more than practical transport. It was associated with Italian style, urban freedom and youth culture, helped by its clean design and growing international presence. A 1958–1960 125 captures Vespa at the point where utility and style had fully merged.
