Yamaha VMax (2015 - present)

The second-generation Yamaha VMAX took the muscle-bike concept of the original 1985 V-Max and reimagined it with modern engineering. Its huge 1679cc V4, shaft drive and aluminium chassis gave it far more performance and sophistication than the first-generation bike, while still keeping the idea of a straight-line, torque-heavy street bruiser at the centre.

By 2015, the VMAX was a refined but still extravagant machine. It was never designed to be subtle or lightweight; its appeal came from the drama of the V4 engine, the aggressive stance and the way Yamaha preserved the model’s cult identity while updating the technology around it.
